finally in Hong Kong

What a trip to get here almost on the other side of the world. We left Calgary on Monday and our plane was delayed by a couple of hours. Thank goodness we made our connecting flight in San Fran to Hong Kong only after we were called over the intercom to report to our gate.

Our flight went by quite fast if you ask me, ask Trent and he would of jumped if he could. My poor husband being the large frame he is sure does not fit on the Asian airplanes but who had time to notice the seat size as we were playing musical chairs as Easton threw up twice and Everett’s once. Lucky for Trent he seemed to not be with the boys as they were letting it fly. By the time we landed in Hong Kong (we were counting the minutes) Everett was wearing one of Emma’s very bright pink shirts and Easton had on Everett’s really small pajamas, we were a site. Trent and kids were able to catch a few zzzzz…. on the way though.

Hong Kong is pretty neat. Emma said she loves all the lights and decorations. The street our hotel is on is what you would see in a movie, signs hanging all over above the street.

Today we went to a place called Ocean Park. We had a great time and this place was huge. Just like the ski hills at home you have to take a cable car from one side of the mountain to the other side when you are done to get to all the activities on one. Lots of shows, games, rides and the cutes panda bears, I could of watched them for hours.

To get to the Ocean Park we had to navigate ourselves on the transit system (train & public bus) We did it but every place we go we are like a circus act, everyone talks about us, points and are very interested in our stroller. The kids are drawing a lot of attention and woman are asking for hugs from them, we are clearly fish out of water here.

As I write this it is 9:00pm and everyone is snoring and it is 6:00am at home. We have adjusted to the time change quite fast so I am thankful for that but I must get to bed all the walking around the mountain at Ocean park really wore us all out.

Now you can always add a comment on our site or you can email us at jodyschmuland@shaw.ca and we would love to hear from you. We hear it is cold and snowing, SORRY about that…..

All our love, Jody
