May – August 2013 Summer Fun!

Holy Smokes, this is going to be the mother of all blogs full of pictures,
quick updates and more pictures 😀  Since life has escaped me multiple
times to post I have combined the last 6 months together to keep a record of
what this wacky family has been doing.

Enjoy the tour back on 2013 … practically  🙂

What an dreamy stay Trent and I had.  I won a nights stay at the
incredible Four Seasons Chiang Mai in a private pool villa at a value of
only $1300US/night.  Oh my GOODNESS, this was living large
and it was so unbelievably breathtaking.
(A view from the bathtub to the outside his and her showers)
(The gorgeously comfortable king bed with the hydrolic tv for
when we wanted to view a show)
(I could escape here all the time)
(Our private pool overlooking the jungle..ahhh.  The food and

Love our schools productions!
The end of year preformance was a fantastic colabration of students and teachers.

Both Ev and East stared in the production with Easton earning the
lead part as King for his last acting gig in jr. school.
(Ev getting ready for the opening act, so
handsome and a great actor/singer as well)
(Easton during one of his dramatic scenes,
he played the role of the King to perfection!)

it is such a privilage to watch you shine.  A professional film
crew came in and recorded the production, now we have a
fantastic record of this in history)
~ We are in CANADA ~
A whirl wind trip back to Calgary, Canada.  Trent had to stay back in Thailand longer so it was just my wonderful travelers and myself for the long haul back.  The kids are pros at knowing what works for them while traveling, they are very savy.  The kids and I flew into Calgary just days before the mass flooding happened in Southern Alberta, it was unbelievable and unfortunate as we were stuck inside with awful weather with the city somewhat shut down.
(East fighting jet lag with Chilli watching over him)
(MMA training with Keidis and Harlow.
The munchkins are training twice a week and Everett was
thrilled to be able to join them, such great exercise. Future fighters here!)
~ Off to the Lake ~
(Because Highway 1 was washed out from the floods the kids and I took
the senic tour to BC.  A spectacular drive with no traffic on the roads,
lots of wild life to see and magestic mountains as a backdrop.
Nice to be back!)

~ I think she came away a bit wet  🙂

(The cherry pit spit station is always a hit with Jim and Trent,
it is just their speed and lots of mug refills of coffee (cough, cough)
~ Happy Face Cave Jumps ~
(All the kids want to do is jump off Happy Face Cave.
Ev is flying through the air for the 100th time)
(While the kids jump the adults party on)
(Em’s goal this summer was to get air on the wakeboard and
she did it.  Great job kiddo for not giving up)

(Our days were numbered as it was time to head back home to Thailand.
Em and Avery had a goal of swimming across the lake, up one
morning nice and early, freezing I might add and they did it.
In just under an hour they swam to the other side!
Way to go girls, very proud of you, see you next year, same place)
(Congratulations for pushing yourselves.
Now their initials are carved into the tree to see in future years)

(Name marked the spot!!!
The kids and I snuck out early one morning to cross the lake
to spray their little part in history.  The famous Kal Lake Happy Face Cave
is now scripted with names of our crew to mark their love of the lake)

~ Vancouver for the weekend!!
WooHoo football time ~

We went to Vancouver for the August long weekend to hang out with Bruce and his adorable kids as well as show the kids what Trent’s football life was like.  The kids are so disconnected to American Football so this was a great opportunity for us to catch up with Angus Reid # 64 on the BC Lions and the rest of the Reid Clan. It was pretty cool to watch this football experience through the kids eyes.
(Emma and Alisha in the BC Lions tunnel)

(Sibling love… in the bowl… You guys are so much fun)
AUTOGRAPH TIME
(Even though Jamie Taras is retired he is a legend in the CFL football world
and now works as  Community relations for the Lions. The autographs begin)
(I’m not sure who was more excited to be in the hype of
the action, my big boy or the kids  😀

(He is one big dude with a heart of gold, # 68 Patrick Kabongo)

(A locker room memory the boys will not forget,
so happy to have a picture with everyone clothed with Patrick)
(Trent and his former player Angus Reid # 64 talking shop after the game.
It was fun to reminisce about years back in Hamburg Germany
where Trent coached Angus on his Defensive Line)
(#44 Adam Bighill thrilled to sign for the boys)
(and more signatures from #26 Cord Parks)
(Emma was getting right into all this jock stuff posing with #46 Rolly Lumbala)
(A great day with the Reid’s, memories of so many laughs and hugs)

(Easton dreaming of playing in the big leagues … ♫

(The kids running the field scoring touchdowns and tackling each other.
Such a great experience for them to see what their
Daddy’s world was for many years)

(So immensly thankful for all our experiences.
Great to be back in Canada for the summer)

(A cherished reminder that if they want it they can do anything)

(A super fun weekend, thanks Bruce and Mr. and Mrs. Reid for spoiling us,
we had a fantastic time reliving the glory days)

(After a few crazy busy days in Vancouver it was time to pile back in
the truck for the 5 hour drive to the lake for a night before moving on
to Calgary.  The excitement was overwhelming for these munchkins)
~ Our last night at
Klub Kal for 2013 ~
(The Schmu Drew kidlets giving their last yearly squeezes.

(Always a blast, full of sweet memories)

~ Back to Calgary for
more farewells ~
(Goodbyes to Trent family at his sisters house)
(The boys loved the novelty of taking Bonnie’s dogs to
the dog park for a walk)

(Love my sister!
Miss you to bits, love the times we have together)

(Em and Mom, hard to seperate these two.
They are waiting for the announcement for the 3rd time in a
row how I kicked butt and beat everyone in lazer tag.
Not just once, not twice but three times in a row,
I knew I should have been a cop  😀 😃
(Sweeties plus Everett’s, nice photo bomb)

(Next time they will be taller than you Mom)

(The Snyder’s are full of laughs, love this picture)

(Good bye our crazy family!  LOVE YOU!  x x x

(This is how we roll.
A very early start from Calgary to Vancouver and hours waiting
for our flight to Bangkok via Beijing.  Trent was on a later flight
than the kids and myself so Em is having her last cuddle)

Another great summer we are so thankful for.  This journey we call life is filled with so many blessings and experiences it is hard to find the words at time to type.  The world is getting smaller yet it is so large and distant.

Thanks Mom yet again for letting us take over your house!  Love catching up with everyone and grateful for so many special people in our lives to share this journey with.

With lots of love!
Trent. Jody. Emma. Easton. Everett.
