Time to say goodbye to Europe….
* Since Ireland we were lucky enough to spend time at Mark & Joanne‘s awesome little abode in the small village of Holmfirth England. Emma traveled to spend four days with her buddy Amy and family (THANK YOU for having her) while the boys and I soaked up rural english life. We stuck out so much that the locals were blunt enough to say “Hey, you are not from here, why are you here?” haha. Thank you soooo much Robinsons we had an amazing time.
* Had an eventful early morning drop off at the bus station at 3:45am in Huddersfield all the while the taxi driver was laughing at us as there was nothing open and not a sole around. Truly we felt homeless and we had to take cover to shelter us from the freezing wind. Everett would not share his phone booth (Easton just looks at us and says “Why…. oh … Why do we travel like this?”
* Finally made it to London the one place the kids were so excited to see. We had amazing weather, Em and I were able to catch a show and the boys visited the Arsenal Football Stadium (tooo cool)
* Another bus journey from London to Paris over night. (NOT RECOMMENDED) not only were we in a moving coffin (so hot), I had the person behind me putting their feet up on the seat at my head (barn yard behavior). On top of that I had to march back to the rear of the bus to ask a very rude couple to be quiet since they were so loud speaking in their native language of Mandarin. The 8 hour bus ride was potentially the worst travel experience of our lives which we will never repeat, I promised the kids.
* Paris France was full of the sites and eating
* Another amazing highlight was spending a week with the Sean & Tiffany in Zurich / Egg Switzerland eating way to much (love raclette), drinking weiss beer, eating crazy amounts of Swiss chocolate, sledding in the Swiss Alps and just hanging with great friends. Thanks so much guys, until we meet up again!
* It is now time to say goodbye to this continent and venture to the next! I am also thrilled to report we have not missed any planes, trains or buses as of late but we all are not fitting into our clothes anymore as it has now turned into a ( all the food is so good adventure )
